The little guy does okay in the shop, but I quickly noticed that electricians just can't see the merit in running a #12 wire with a 20 amp breaker upstairs to the back deck of any house.Rick get the sp-135 plus.Its a great little welder.With .023 stainless wire,and the right gas the little lincoln will spray arc.Thats pretty impressive performance.I just traded my little miller 130xp in on a sp-175 plus its a great little welder also.Spend the extra at the welding store,because you will get support if needed.That could make up the difference even if you bought a 135 tapped ...Re: sp 125 plus and aluminum. The cable must be kept as strait as posible and dont twist it.Start with the drive roll pressure very loose. Increase the pressure only until it is very difficult to stop the wire from feeding out of the contact tip. Use a pliers or block of wood to try and stop the wire from feeding.
